Wild nature in Prague

Wild nature in Prague

Where this cat come from?

Have you ever met a cat lying in nettles? You probably wouldn't forget a meeting of this kind. One cat was seen in Prague like that! She was probably just after lunch, as she didn’t carea bout her observers. Where did this happen? On Charles Square? In the orchards in Lesser Town? Next to the Astronomical Clock? Prague offers many surprises, but fortunately there are no striped predators in parks or squares. There was no danger to anyone in this case. This is how animals relax in the Prague Zoo, the fifth best zoo in the world.

The Prague Zoo is located in the beautiful surroundings of the Troja Basin, offering 13 pavilions and more than 150 exhibits in total. The pavilions are closed until 25th of May, but on the other hand the outdoor exhibitions have their inseparable charm. During a walk through the exhibition "African Savannah" or "Monkey Islands", you will feel that the zoo has transported you from Prague directly to an exotic place. We appreciate such places more than ever now. Prague Zoo is not only a breeding institution, it also helps to protect endangered animal species. The reward is newborn baby animals, such as elephants, tapir or lama.
